Join us in early April for a comprehensive Art Business Workshop for the Entrepreneurial Artist taking place at Saratoga Arts in Saratoga Springs, New York. Co-sponsored by Skidmore College and The Arts Business Institute, the two-day professional development program will present the following topics:
- Who is Your Customer?
- Creative Marketing and Branding
- Pricing for Profit
- Sales Strategies for Artists
- Niche and Alternative Markets
- Introduction to Art Licensing
- Building Gallery Relationships
- Create an Effective Art Website
Presenting will be Wendy Rosen, founder of The Buyers Market of American Craft, The American Made Show, publisher of NICHE Magazine for Retailers and the NICHE Awards. Also presenting will be Carolyn Edlund, Executive Director of The Arts Business Institute and founder of Artsy Shark.
The event will also include an artist discussion panel, and personalized consultations available for attendees. These consultations are a one-on-one meeting with one of the speakers to evaluate the artist’s work and discuss their business goals and challenges. Consultations will be booked at the beginning of the workshop.
