My earliest memories are of drawing and making art. I have been exhibiting and selling my art for the last 40 years, all over the country and in private and public galleries, museums and universities. My art mediums are oil and acrylic paintings, photography, oil pastels, computer graphics and mixed media watercolors. The subject matter of my art comes from the essences of my life.
The first is “Woman Fantasy Art” using all my media. I have been making art of my muse Doe Gentry for the past 25 years. It is a true artistic collaboration. All the images of the fantasy women are her.
My love of jazz music has produced a series of art of the giants of jazz including Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, and others from the golden age of jazz from the 1950’s.
Family is very important to me, so I’ve produced over the years a series of art called “Nostalgic”. It is mixed media, using photography, watercolor and color ink. Using my old family photos I’ve made large scale nostalgic art of family life from the 1920’s to the 1940’s.
Marilyn Monroe is an American icon and I’ve been fortunate enough to have been given access and copyright permission of 3 Marilyn photographers’ archives to produce my art of her using their photos as a bases for the pieces.
I live right near the beach in Santa Monica California and I long distance swim in the ocean year round so my art reflects that with different series of beachscape art.
In that same vein I do a lot of wilderness camping and from those trips I produce a series of panorama photographs and mixed media landscapes.
My life as and artist has been filled with opportunities and misfortunes, inspiration and mistakes, love and disappointments, comedy and tragedy but through out it all has been the constant of making art which fills my soul.

I am an artist living in New York City. My work is created by means of digital photography/manipulation, digital illustration/painting and recently some digital 3D figure rendering.
I used to draw a lot as a child, mainly inspired by comic books. I studied a variety of mediums in school and became fascinated by photography. However, I was always more interested in creating, experimenting and self-expression rather than just straight photography. Experimenting and manipulation in the darkroom was what I really enjoyed doing; it allowed me to approach things in a more “painterly” way.
Eventually analog photography was too limited and did not allow me to create the things that were in my head and I started working with digital photography and Photoshop. This led to trying out other programs such as Corel Painter and getting into digital painting, illustration, etc. It’s pretty exciting for me to be able to blend all these different elements together because I feel that I can be more creative and that in a way things have come full circle.
What are your goals?
My main goal is to keep creating and to keep pushing my work “further” (whatever that may mean). Another goal is to get my work “out there” more. I would also like to do some work for CD covers, book covers and the like.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on many things at the moment. I’m continuing work on two series “The Dark Carnival” and “Requiem In Oblivion”, which both appear on my website. I’m also working on some figurative work that involves breaking down, obscuring and revealing form. For these I’ve been using more digital painting and sometimes Poser figure renders. I’m also working on making some fixes to my website.
What inspires you?
Many things inspire me. Mostly I get ideas or “visions” in my head that I have to create. However if I were to attempt to create a list of inspirations and influences it would include music, history and ancient art, Symbolism, Expressionism, early 20th century art, Joel-Peter Witkin, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, dark/gothic art, science-fiction, fantasy, current events and the human condition in general.

Helene Kippert, an Australian artist, creates “energy art”. She discusses her unusual and beautiful work. Visit her website for more information and her complete portfolio.
I am a fractal artist, working primarily with digital media to explore the interplay of form, energy and light.
I use texture, colour and pattern as a way of breaking down our sense of identity with intellect and form, and reconnecting us to the sacred whole to which we all belong. Sometimes I begin with a drawing and add a number of digital layers until I feel I’ve reached a point of completion, or alternatively I work with fractal images, layering them into complex composite designs. We are in the midst of a global energy shift that will change the way we live and relate to each other in ways we can’t even begin to imagine yet. Some people call it ascension, but that’s just another label for a process which is really beyond words. When words fail us, images can sometimes speak more clearly to our imagination and deep self. I see my path as documenting the impact of the shift as it affects my own personal journey, which is really the journey of us all.
