Photo editing has never been easier. Check out PicMonkey and be amazed!

I’ve been having a lot of fun lately working with PicMonkey – and you might enjoy editing and collaging your own photos with this free online tool too. You can get some amazing effects just playing around with the many features it offers.

Use special effects, touch up (I did a little facelift on my profile pic, yay!), add text to your photo, use really cool overlays, frame it, add textures or even make a daguerreotype if you want to.

Collages are really fun to work with – want to make a mini Pinterest board for your site? Create an impressive Facebook page cover?

There is even an app so that you can edit photos right inside Facebook. It couldn’t be easier. So how great is that?

  1. i just discovered PicMonkey a few months ago when Picnik closed it’s doors…I just love their “frames”!

  2. Ha! I didn’t know about PicMonkey and went and spent a couple of hours on it, playing with the different tools. It’s great! I hope that they don’t get expensive when they start charging for some of their special effects…

    Thanks for sharing this!

    • Rachel, I noticed that they do have some special effects that require you to join up and pay for them. However, they have such great free stuff that is just so fun to play with!

  3. From what I read, many of the free ones will become paid ones, but they are still in beta mode. There were some things that I didn’t see like sizing and image or being able to size an image once you place it into a collage. So, it seems like this is a great option for finished images. Fix them and size them in photoshop first and then give them special effects in PicMonkey.

I did email them about one question that I had and they replied with a canned email that had a link to their flickr group. There are some nice tutorials there: http://flickr.com/groups/picmonkey

  4. Picmonkey is a great backup for when I’m on the road without my desktop which has photoshop, which is what I usually use
