Life After Death

“Life after Death 1” Etching/Aquatint, 40 x 60 cm

My goal is to express the real beauty of my subject. My work is not intrusive, nor obvious; it shows weakness and at same time strength. I strive to create a taste for aesthetic and sense, for inner peace and pleasure.

Desert Fire

“Desert Fire” acrylic paint, 100 x 65 cm

I am inspired by people, emotions, and the hidden foundations that really define a person. I always search the depth of the human soul and try to see the invincible. I try to find the story behind expressions of emotions and the looks on people’s faces – this is what makes me grab my tools and start to work. My goal is to first put down the “raw” that we usually neglect, to dig for the hidden treasure and to make it shine.

Horse

“Horse” acrylic paint, 50 x 70 cm

I often use mixed techniques, pencil and ink drawing, oil and acrylic, but my favorite technique is etching! It is always a pleasure to create softness in material which is usually hard. I want to see what image is hidden and what will appear in the structure of it. Etching as a technique gives me the opportunity for unique play with shadows and lights, and gives options for depth of the print. Thus each print then has its own story and soul, and shows the richness of diversity of the line.

The Calling

“The Calling” Lithography, 40 x 50 cm

In my works I always try to provoke the interest of the art viewers by helping them to look beyond the initial impression, to search themselves, and to discover their own true personality projected on the image. The hidden must be revealed and manifested. The obvious must take a second place. I just want to unveil secrets, to change the focus, to show the way…
