For over a year, we’ve been considering an idea that has finally become a reality. And today, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Artsy Shark Gallery website.
Our new gallery website is a robust e-commerce platform where we are presenting and selling the work of selected artists who have been previously featured on the Artsy Shark website. This new gallery represents a limited number of artists who have been invited to participate. Each artist has a Studio Visit page, a gallery page, and individual pages of artwork for sale.
Building this site on the Art Storefronts platform gave us the functionality we were looking for in an online venue. We chose a theme with a streamlined look to avoid clutter and put the focus solidly on the art.
Additionally, shoppers can view each piece of artwork in situ by clicking on a Wall Preview button. This shows the art to scale in a living room – or an office, a restaurant, a bedroom or other rooms. The wall color can also be adjusted, to allow the viewer to visualize how the artwork they are considering will look in their own home or office.
The work of twenty-four artists is currently displayed on the new site. They are: Peter Alessandria, Alexandra Averbach, Sara Bardin, Barbara Rogers, Jennifer Kahn Barlow, Stephen Hall, Craig Cossey, Jennifer Beavers, Theresa Otteson, Raven Skye McDonough, Peter Bragino, Leslie Kell, Hal Mayforth, Judy Jacobs, Sarah Bush, Helen Klebesadel, Sheri Trepina, Glen Kessler, Joyce Wynes, Grigor Malinov, Brennen McElhaney, Kim Whittemore, Dennis Crayon and Janice Schoultz Mudd.
As the summer progresses, we will be rolling out the work of other artists who are currently under contract. In addition to the artist pages, the Artsy Shark Gallery has an Ask the Expert feature with advice on choosing and displaying art, and a Guest Curator feature with selected themed collections to be presented on a regular basis.
At this time, the new online art gallery is able to ship to locations in the U.S. only. Shipping is free for all purchases.
