To appreciate my current photographic artwork, a little background information first is in order.

“Monet Lilies” photography, printed on different mediums in various sizes
I turned my interest towards the ocean, marine sciences and scuba diving while attending Florida Tech—and underwater photography became my passion. I started my own scuba diving marketing company and honed my compositional and creative photographic skills while working as an underwater assignment photographer shooting for a variety of scuba related magazines.
My photography career progressed from there, shooting various assignments for major newspapers and entities like NASA.

“Awaken” photography, printed on different mediums in various sizes
A trip to Africa in 2004 rekindled my passion for photographing landscapes and nature abstracts. My introduction into abstract nature photography happened unintentionally. I was in Botswana during the springtime floodwaters of the Okavango Delta. Incredible water clarity and plant life in a dazzling array of colors allowed me to experiment with various in-camera techniques to capture the spectacular African abstracts.

“The Descent” photography, printed on different mediums in various sizes
Today I am known more for my fine art abstract photography. Light, color and shapes play pivotal roles in my photography as does the actual medium I have chosen most often to display my work—metal prints.

“Streamin Autumn Colors” photography, printed on different mediums in various sizes
Most of my nature imagery is a microcosm of a subject—collectors anywhere in the world can relate to the image. My interest is in the natural details; how the environment on a particular day, in a particular light, and at a particular moment in time correlates to my personal vision and interpretation.

“Monet’s Dream” photography, printed on different mediums in various sizes
Folks often say my painterly and emotionally charged photographs are reminiscent of the best works of art by the legendary Impressionists as they capture light and its effect on the landscape with a contemporary vibrancy and energy.

“Leafing Impressions” photography, printed on different mediums in various sizes
When art collectors and buyers see my work, they do not see a photograph, they see an interpretive collage of colors, patterns and textures that are showcased; transforming the photograph into an emotional experience.

“In the Beginning” photography, printed on different mediums in various sizes
While nature is at the forefront in all my photography, I intentionally convey and display my natural world abstracts and landscapes so that photography is looked at and worked as a medium different from the usual. I continually work at transforming an image into something the viewer can connect with emotionally.
