I was born in the Ukraine in 1986. Two years later, my parents immigrated to the United States on the refugee program. The only memories I have of my homeland are bits and pieces of wide open wheat fields and endless skies.

Our beginnings were very humble, even in the States, but my parents worked tirelessly to provide a better life for my sister and myself. Their work ethic resonates with everything I do. I believe with hard work and persistence, anything can be achieved – even a life of simply adding beauty to the world.

My early life is the reason why I strive for perfection. Although I know there is really no such thing, that has never stopped my meticulous nature. Each piece I create is filled with detail and intricacy.

I find that as my work evolves,  I add more detail. The challenge then becomes knowing when to stop. They say artwork is never truly finished, it is only abandoned. I have pieces that I have worked on for as long as three years. But in the end, those pieces are the most personal and the most rewarding.

Many of my works revolve around the spirit that is within everything, be it a tree, an animal, or the ocean. I personify that spirit in a visually stunning way, often with a beautiful girl.

I believe we are irrevocably connected to nature; we come from it and eventually return to it. So many people have lost that connection. I want to show them that we live in a gorgeous world filled with miraculous wonders.

Most of my inspiration comes from my own photographs and my desire to embody a story in a single image. Storytelling is a great passion of mine. I have always been greatly influenced by fairytales and folklore.

I want people to wonder what my girls are thinking, where they came from, and where they are going. Everyone sees my world differently. Some see melancholy, some see hope, but as long as my girls make you feel, then my ultimate goal is achieved.
