2018 Santa Fe Art Business Workshop Announced

The Arts Business Institute and The Clark Hulings Fund will co-sponsor a two day interactive workshop experience for visual artists and makers, taking place in Santa Fe on April 6 – 7, 2018.

Topics will include Marketing, Gallery Relationships, Selling Art Online, Pricing for Profit, with sessions on Building your Power Collective, Artist to Artist Accountability, Power Collective in Practice, and more. Breakout sessions and personalized one-on-one consultations will be part of this program.

The focus of this dynamic event will be to help you create a truly effective action plan for your business, and to meet and build your own power collective of fellow artists and industry professionals. Learn how to cultivate relationships with galleries, leverage sales strategies for art, maximize digital sales of your work, price your work for the highest perceived value, and create marketing messages that resonate with your audience.

Presenters for the summit are:

Elizabeth Hulings, Director of the Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists, and daughter of famed artist Clark Hulings. As a business strategist, she inspires achievement by insisting on clarity of purpose, detailed planning, and conclusive action. As a leader in the field, she assists artists in developing a mindset of self-reliant, entrepreneurial behavior in an evolving marketplace.

Daniel Digriz, Education Director of the Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists. His background as a marketing consultant/manager and developer of educational programs makes Daniel a compelling speaker with solid strategies to share. He is a frequent business speaker, a columnist at Forbes, and runs a management consulting firm.

Wendy Rosen, Founder of The Arts Business Institute, Best in American Made, and Publisher of Niche Magazine. With more than 35 years as a promoter, publisher and writer on the business of art, Wendy has a national reputation as an advocate and expert with a big picture view of creative industries. She frequently speaks about marketplace transition, and strategies for creative entrepreneurs.
