As a child growing up, I was always fascinated by the natural beauty that exists in our world. I had a passion for the breathtaking landscapes and the marine wildlife that I was fortunate to travel to and see firsthand during every family vacation.

This allowed me to have a really strong appreciation for our landscape, our wildlife and our beautiful planet.

When I was a student, I started to create paintings of abstract meadows, paths, and oceans because I wanted to create scenes that celebrated the life and forces that exist on this planet. I wanted people to experience the radiant and spirited reminiscences of my experience in nature.

Right before I graduated from college, I took an amazing science course called Exploring the Solar System. When I took this course, I learned how lucky we are to exist in the first place. Based on scientific evidence, we are the only planet that has been able to support the simplest forms of life, such as microorganisms and bugs to the most complex species of plants, animals, and humans. This is because earth has an atmosphere made up of an ozone layer and greenhouse gases, which allow the planet to maintain a livable temperature. Earth also contains liquid water, and a molten core that drives geologic activity and an electromagnetic field that protects us from charged particles that come from the sun, known as “Solar Wind.”

These three factors make it possible for life to exist on any planet. And since we are so lucky to have these factors, it is so important that we take actions that will continue to protect and sustain our planet and the life that inhabits it. This has inspired me to create work that speaks to the beauty and fragility of these life forces and the ecosystems it continues to create.

After taking this astronomy course, I started creating abstract ecosystems that celebrate life and forces on this planet because I wanted people to understand, appreciate and love the beautiful nature that continues to surround us.

I hope that my work shows that we live in such a magnificent, fragile world that is worth treasuring and protecting.

My mission is to inspire people to take action towards protecting all the life and beauty that we have in this world. As humans, we have so many issues to resolve, and so much to deal with. But if we don’t have a planet that can sustain us, none of those other issues really matter in the end.

Through my abstract landscape paintings, I hope people can appreciate the small, beautiful details in life, whether it is a wave crashing down, or taking a moment to notice the beautiful morning mist that is in the air when you take a step outside. There is so much to appreciate in this world, and there are so many ways we can give back and sustain our planet if we start paying attention. Let’s start taking action to protect what’s really important in this world.

These works are full of life and color, you can feel the movement as if you were living the moment painted in the painting.

    • Hi Erick! Thank you so much! 🙂 I am so happy to hear that my paintings are creating this experience for you. I always try to bring a sense of life to my work, so I am thrilled to hear that this is your first impression of my paintings.
