Over the past thirty years, it is with great fortune I have been a successful and often awarded illustrator, working for the top book publishers and advertising agencies in the country. I’ve created covers for a wide range of bestselling books including “Gone With The Wind” by Margaret Mitchell, and “Beast” by Peter Benchley.

I’m proud of the many ad campaigns I did illustrations for, including Coca Cola, Minolta, Purina, Dole Foods, Aflac, Claritin and many more.

I’m even prouder of my long association with Celestial Seasonings Tea, having created packaging for over seventy products including their iconic Morning Thunder and Sleepytime Bear line of teas.

In many ways, I feel as if my artistic journey is just beginning as I further refine my hyper-realistic, digital art style while also exploring experimental fine art and photography at the same time.

I moved from New York City into the woods of New Hampshire over twenty years ago, and I am surrounded by nature and beauty every day. This has helped me get back in touch with the things I loved drawing as a child, mainly all kinds of animals.

And dinosaurs! The last few years I have been transitioning away from commercial illustration into full-time licensing, and now have many products including puzzles, prints, 3D lenticular images as well as a best-selling line of t-shirts with The Mountain.

And speaking of dinosaurs, I’m very excited that the studio making “Jurassic World 2” purchased fifty of my Kidaroo dino backpacks to be used as set dressing in the upcoming 2018 blockbuster!

The other great passion in my life is music, and my increasing skills as a photographer has enabled me to become the official photographer at The Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, New Hampshire, a state of the art venue that is one of the finest on the east coast. It’s a thrill to meet and photograph artists and bands that I’ve been longtime fans of including Peter Frampton, Toto, Melissa Etheridge, Ann Wilson, Todd Rundgren, Stanley Clarke and Buddy Guy just to name just a few.

The other notable music/art/photo connection has been my involvement in the legacy of my hero of forty years, Keith Emerson. Keith (who died tragically in March of 2016) was the greatest and most influential keyboardist in rock history and was best known for founding the progressive rock band, Emerson, Lake & Palmer. I was honored to have been asked to create the cover for the soon to be released DVD/CD of “The Official Keith Emerson Tribute Concert,” which will feature my art, design and photography. In addition, I was the official photographer at “The Keith Emerson Celebration of Life Concert” that took place July 28, 2017 in England at The Birmingham Symphony Hall, and a book of my photography from the event is in the works.

But never mind all that stuff—the big news is I just became a grandfather. Hudson is going to have a great time with me in my studio when he’s a little older!
