Washington DC Art Business Conference March 2019

 

Serious artists who want to uplevel their small businesses will want to attend this two-day Art-Business Conference to be held at Artists & Makers Studios in Rockville, Maryland. Located right outside the Washington, DC beltway, the art center will be hosting the event on March 23-24, 2019. The program will be presented by speakers from The Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists (CHF), a nonprofit organization that equips professional visual artists to be self-sustaining entrepreneurs.

The focus of this professional development conference is “Conquer the Changing Marketplace” and will address the challenges artists face in a transitional time where technology has become a great disruptor, affecting whole sectors of the art world.  The conference schedule is listed below. All conference registrants will also be given membership in the CHF online learning portal, which houses digital courses in nine different disciplines as well as a robust community of artists and discussion groups.

Speaking at the conference will be Elizabeth Hulings, Director of CHF and a business strategist who has dedicated nearly three decades to helping entrepreneurs, business owners, and artists. Other speakers are: Daniel DiGriz, Marketing Director for CHF, a corporate storyteller who writes a Forbes column, hosts several podcasts, and leads organizations and entrepreneurs to find and deliver their brand narrative to motivated buyers and constituents, and Carolyn Edlund, founder of Artsy Shark and an art business consultant and writer.
