Visual artists are invited to apply to be featured on Artsy Shark during our current Call for Artists. We accept and encourage submissions from artists who work in a variety of mediums including: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital art, clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, wood, printmaking and others.

Features published on this site present the portfolio of each artist, and in their own words tells their story, and shares their inspiration and technique. Prominent links in each feature drive traffic to the artist’s own website and social media profiles. This gives each artist the opportunity to make sales of their work, increase their following, and capture email addresses of interested readers for follow up purposes.

Artist features are promoted heavily through social media and email marketing to our wide audience. Since 2010, more than 1,200 artists have been featured on Artsy Shark. All artist features remain permanently on our site, and may be viewed here. After publication, each featured artist receives a magazine-style version of their article in PDF form to use as marketing collateral.

Since my feature published this morning, I’ve received an email requesting information on prints and a nearby frame shop has invited me to hang paintings there. So I’m quite pleased at this for a start! – Jean Hirons

This is a competitive juried process with an application fee of $25. Not all artists will be accepted. Artists who have previously been featured individually may not apply again. Selection is made through viewing the applicant’s art website or other online presence. All artists will be notified of the results of their submission within three weeks of the application deadline.

Artsy Shark receives no fees or commissions whatsoever for any sales or contracts that result from being featured.
