I’ve always followed my instincts when it comes to creativity. Some things don’t change. From an early age, I was drawn to visual storytelling, color, and the small details that make an object or moment feel special. That curiosity continues to guide my work today.

 

 

Color plays a central role in how I see and interpret the world. It sparks my imagination and sets the tone for each piece I create. I’m equally inspired by animals and nature, both of which bring a sense of warmth, humor, and emotional connection into my work. Whether it’s a curious glance, a playful gesture, or an unexpected detail, these subjects invite a sense of joy and familiarity.

 

 

Before transitioning into fine art, I spent nearly two decades running Sassy Scents, a home décor and fragrance company. During that time, I designed sachets in the shapes of mini corsets, bustiers, and bikinis, each infused with signature fragrances. Selling wholesale to artisan boutiques, national department stores, and private labels gave me a deep understanding of presentation, craftsmanship, and how visual appeal connects with people on an emotional level.

 

 

That experience shaped how I approach my current work. I became fascinated with how color, texture, and playful elements can transform an ordinary moment into something memorable. Even subtle details have the power to draw someone in and create a lasting impression.

 

 

Today, my practice blends fine art photography with three-dimensional mixed media. Each piece begins with a photographic image and is thoughtfully enhanced with tactile elements that add depth, whimsy, and personality. This process allows me to explore storytelling in a way that feels both imaginative and approachable.

 

 

My work often resonates with children, but it is created for viewers of all ages. While younger audiences are drawn to the color and charm, adults often connect with the humor, craftsmanship, and sense of optimism woven throughout each piece. At its core, my work is about celebrating curiosity, kindness, and the simple joy found in everyday moments.

 

 

Passing along an optimistic outlook has always been important to me, especially as a mother and grandmother. Through my art, I hope to share that perspective and create pieces that feel uplifting, warm, and full of heart. If a viewer walks away smiling or feeling just a bit lighter, then the work has done its job.
