“Where Voices Meet” digital mixed media, 24″ x 24″
My work lives in the space where the human inner world and the natural world dissolve into one another. Through my studio practice, MoirisArt, I am drawn to moments of transformation — not dramatic change, but the quiet internal shifts that occur when we are suspended between who we were and who we are becoming.

Through figurative abstraction and realistic abstraction, I explore identity, emotional memory, and our deep, often unconscious bond with nature.

“Echoes in Still Water” digital mixed media, 24″ x 24″
I work across both digital and physical formats, moving fluidly between digital mixed media and material-based, non-digital processes. Regardless of medium, I approach each piece as a layered construction. I combine hand-drawn elements, painterly textures, and observational references to create images that feel tactile and atmospheric rather than illustrative.

“Where Breath Becomes Color” digital mixed media, 24″ x 24″
Whether on a digital canvas or through physical making, my process is intuitive and slow. I often begin with a human figure or an animal presence and allow surrounding elements — leaves, birds, branches, water, breath — to emerge organically. These elements are not decorative; they function as extensions of the body and psyche. Nature, in my work, is not a backdrop. It is an active participant.

“The Art of Listening” digital mixed media, 24″ x 24″
Recurring motifs such as human–animal hybrids, suspended bodies, and fragmented faces reflect my interest in metamorphosis as a lived condition. I see transformation not as a destination, but as a continuous state of becoming. Many of the figures I create appear calm yet charged, held in a moment of stillness that contains emotional tension. This sense of suspension mirrors my own experience navigating vulnerability, resilience, and internal negotiation.

“The Quiet Between Forms” digital mixed media, 24″ x 24″
Although much of my work is developed digitally, I think like a painter and a sculptor. I am deeply influenced by traditional painting, form, and surrealist symbolism. I consider weight, balance, texture, and breath. My goal is not polish, but presence — to preserve traces of imperfection that keep the work human.

Viewers often tell me that my images evoke recognition rather than explanation, as if something familiar is being remembered instead of described. That response is central to my practice.

Ultimately, I hope my work invites contemplation. I want viewers to slow down, to feel before interpreting, and to recognize themselves within the dialogue between body and landscape. Each piece functions as an open narrative — a quiet space where personal experience and collective symbolism meet, and where transformation is allowed to unfold.
