Art has been part of my identity for as long as I can remember. I started painting when I was four years old, but it wasn’t until I got older that acrylic landscapes and traveling, seeing new epic environments, really became my inspiration.

That love for light, colour and nature has never left me; it just evolved. Today, I work as a digital matte painter and concept artist in the film industry. I help build immersive worlds on the big screen.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to a number of major film and television productions. Some highlights include Thor: Love and Thunder, Justice League, Ford v Ferrari, and The Mitchells vs. The Machines.

“English Bay Double Moons” digital painting & photo manipulation, sizes vary
My role often involves seamlessly blending imagination with reality—extending sets, enhancing environments, or creating entire digital vistas. It’s a mix of technical craft and artistic storytelling that I find endlessly rewarding.

Outside of film, I return often to traditional painting—it keeps me grounded and connected to my artistic roots. I’m still drawn to landscapes, especially those that carry mood and narrative. Whether I’m working digitally or on canvas, my process usually begins with a feeling or a photograph I’ve taken.

I have a particular love for sci-fi, and I often edit everyday photos to feel like they were taken on another planet. This idea fuels one of my favorite personal projects: imagining luxurious travel experiences on distant exoplanets. It’s a fun and oddly hopeful project—I truly believe we might travel that way someday.

“Vancouver Skyline: Floating Starship” mixed media digital painting & photo manipulation, sizes vary
I’m inspired by nature, cinematic storytelling, and the surreal beauty that can emerge when familiar things are placed in unfamiliar worlds. My goal, whether painting a quiet forest scene or a futuristic cityscape, is to create environments that feel emotionally rich and transportive—like you’ve just stepped into a story. To simply make someone daydream, or inspire them.
