“Blue Temple – Chiang Rai, Thailand” (2019) digital photography, variable size
As a fine art travel photographer, the world is my inspiration. I am obsessed first and foremost with color, and this drives everything about my photography. It determines the places I visit, the time of day and side of the street where I shoot, and my editing process.

“Reflection – Naeroyfjord, Norway” (2022) digital photography, variable size
I’m a storyteller at heart, and I like to let each place reveal its soul to me as I wander its streets, float on its waters, and journey its lands.

“Red Bougainvilla Door – San Miguel de Allende, Mexico” (2021) digital photography, variable size
My greatest joy as a traveling artist is that electric moment of discovery. I love to wander through new cities and stumble across something magical and unexpected. I may find an amazing tree, a beautiful doorway, or a gorgeous landscape.

“The Lonely Tree – Oraefi, Iceland” (2018) digital photography, variable size
I love the authenticity of small towns and off the beaten path locations, and I’m much more interested in neighborhoods than monuments.

“Tuscan Rooftops – San Gimignano, Italy” (2017) digital photography, variable size
I like to say that my computer is my paintbrush, and editing is about half of my process. (Yes, I enhance my colors!) As a photographer, my work by necessity starts with reality, but it isn’t completely wedded to it.

“The Calligrapher’s Bicycle – Asilah, Morocco” (2022) digital photography, variable size
I want my images to be amazing, but believable. As my work has matured, the end result is what is most important to me. My editing has become more involved. Some of my images would be more accurately described as digital collage.

“Sand Dune Abstract #4 – Sahara Desert, Morocco” (2022) digital photography, variable size
I frequently print my artwork on large canvases, and many people mistake them for paintings. In fact, I often call myself a painterly photographer. I also print on metal or acrylic, as well as photo paper. But I always find myself returning to canvas, as I love the gentle glow that it gives my work.

“Eilean Donan Castle – Scotland” (2025) digital photography, variable size
My strongest pieces have a distinct presence. People often tell me that they feel like they can walk right into them. The storyteller in me loves this comment. It means I have succeeded in my goal to bring the world back home with me.

“The Yellow Pot – Chefchaouen, Morocco” (2022) digital photography, variable size
I have a public art studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia, outside of Washington, DC. I love visitors. Please come by if you are nearby, and experience my large and vibrant prints in person!
