I paint from my studio in East Fremantle which is a small port city on the west coast of Australia. You’ll find me there most days under the careful supervision of my studio manager cat, Bonkers. I paint Impressionist landscapes with a fantasy element.

I love holidays and I’m interested in holiday places. These are the destinations where people shed the numbness of routine and become aware of the beauty and drama around them.

I was still a young teenager when I decided to become an artist. After a traditional art school training, I’ve enjoyed a successful career as a landscape painter. I’m married to a talented writer, and we have two adult children. They are the brightest stars in our night sky.

I feel excitement every day as I approach a new canvas. I give myself permission to play and explore new ideas. I notice my own resistance to change and I make a commitment to what is new and possible. I let curiosity be my guide. I hope you can feel that freedom coming through in my work.
