I am a fine art and macro photographer from Florida. Becoming a photographer has been my dream for as long as I can remember.

After graduating high school, I attended the University of Miami, studied Visual Communications, and earned my Bachelors degree. Life took me in a direction away from photography as a career. But I always managed to find some time to get out with my camera.

“Solitude” photography, 36″ x 24″

In 2017, I became a stay-at-home mom and was able to focus more on my photography. I would grab my camera, strap the baby in the stroller, and we would go off on our photography adventures together.

Then, in 2020, after a major life change, I had the opportunity to pursue photography as a career. I got the gear. I found a mentor and set off to explore Florida. At that time, I was focused on nature/wildlife photography. However, along the way, I began to explore other types of photography.

“This Is How I Roll” photography, 36″ x 24″

I ended up purchasing a macro lens. After spending some time shooting with it, I realized that macro photography is what I love! As much as I love nature and wildlife photography, I never felt like I was close enough to my subject. I was always looking for those tiny details, but could never capture them to my satisfaction.

Macro photography allows me to capture those details. I can show my viewers the little details of an object that would typically get overlooked while showcasing the beauty of the subject in a way not often seen.

“Shake It Off” photography, 20″ x 16″

I began photographing flowers against a black backdrop and slowly a style began to emerge in my work. Whether I am photographing a flower against a black background or a classic car, you will see that for me, it is all about the details and showing off the beauty of these common objects in an uncommon way.

The goal of my photography is to provide the viewer an experience with the subject that they have not had before and to evoke an emotional response or connection from that experience. As far as plans for the future, I plan on creating more photography series and photographing whatever sparks inspiration. I love how my style is evolving and I am excited to see where the journey takes me.
