Blending light, perspective, and architectural influences, my work embraces geometry while inviting contemplation. Inspired by 20th century movements, such as Op Art, and ancient patterns, I create art that embodies farniente*—the art of slowing down and savoring the present. Through structured lines and intricate designs, my pieces offer moments of stillness in a fast-moving world.

Woven into my heritage, art has always been a part of my story. Born in Montréal, Canada, I was surrounded by creativity, with artists and artisans on both sides of my family shaping my appreciation for art and craftsmanship. Yet, my path took an artistic detour—one that led me through a career in communications and marketing, where I explored other facets of my creativity.

While life’s demands and my role as caregiver for my sick parents took priority in my life, my passion for visual arts had to be placed on hold. Then, unexpectedly, a personal health challenge in 2022 became the catalyst that reignited my artistic journey. Encouraged by my doctor to reconnect with creative expression, I picked up my tools once more, and something clicked. I wasn’t just rediscovering art—I was reclaiming a part of myself.

Now, my work is a fusion of geometry, perspective, light, and architectural influences. Each piece is carefully shaped with precision and intention. My college degree in interior design has shaped my approach, allowing me to blend two essential dimensions of my artistic expression: fine arts and technical drawing.

The structured, timeless lines in my work are shaped by 20th century movements—such as Bauhaus, Art Deco, Mid-Century, and Op Art—and ancient elements like Platonic solids and Pompeian patterns. Though drawn from different eras, their geometric elegance naturally aligns, creating a harmonious visual language.

My creative process is meticulous, unfolding in three key phases: drawing, cutting, and assembling. Every concept begins as a digital rendering, where I refine details to achieve a high level of precision. Then, I use a plotter to carve out my intricate designs with an exceptional level of accuracy. My chosen materials—vinyl and acetate—enhance the crispness of each piece while demanding a technical finesse that I find deeply rewarding.

In the fall of 2024, I started to actively pursue the commercialization of my work. I completed multiple sales and custom commissions since. In 2025, I was thrilled to have my work chosen for several juried symposiums and a juried group exhibition—significant milestones that affirm my artistic journey.

“The Universe Within” vinyl on acetate, 30″ x 30″
In a world that is constantly in motion, where ‘always more’ is the rule to follow, my goal is to create art that encourages farniente*, thus inviting viewers to pause, contemplate, and truly experience the present moment.

*Derived from Italian, “far niente” means “doing nothing.” Far from laziness, it is the art of living in sweet idleness, a philosophy of life. Farniente is thus a moment to contemplate all the beauties life offers us.
