Reimagined Paw Prints was born out of decades of experience designing in the fashion, home furnishings, and giftware industries—and the deep love I shared with my little Havapoo, Moxie, during our 17 year, 3 month, and 1 day journey. Early exposure to the art world, beginning with toddler classes at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, led to a lifelong passion for design and visual storytelling.

When I lost Moxie—six months after his feline sister, Precious—their absence had a profound impact. I miss them deeply, and needing to be around animals, I began working part time with a pet care company. Shortly after, I launched my own in-home overnight pet-sitting service, which I still do while pursuing my design work.

Fortunate to have delightful furry clients, the connection, grounded in constant companionship, continues to help with my grief and healing in ways I hadn’t expected, slowly leading to what would become Reimagined Paw Prints.

I’m not sure exactly when the idea came to apply a previous design concept I developed to some of the pet photos I send my clients while they are away. With permission, I began experimenting—using intentional cropping, mirroring, and a little magic to create unique background patterns that reimagine each animal’s presence in a more artistic and heartfelt way.

While I began with themed collections designed to appeal to animal art lovers and pet parents alike, I also offer commissioned pieces celebrating beloved pets—for individuals and work environments.

Recently, I started to take the work further—creating coordinating patterns from details within original images, designing with versatility for licensing and product collections. As a conceptual thinker, these pattern-based collections reflect my design-driven process, combining photography and abstraction to create distinctive decorative motifs.

Inspired by Moxie, this work is both a tribute and creative legacy. A portion of all work will benefit animal rescue organizations and other non-profits. It’s a way to share what I see, feel, and create—with others who understand the deep bond we have with the animals we love.
