colorful western landscape in oil

“Where the Earth Burns Gold” oil, 24” x 18”

I am a multidisciplinary artist based in New Mexico. I was born in Russia. Having absorbed the beauty of Siberian nature, my artistic soul was always searching for expression through art. My path fully unfolded only after I moved to the United States in 2004.

“Mountain River” oil, 20” x 16”

Although I have participated in workshops with renowned contemporary artists such as Albert Handell, Peter Nisbet, David Mayer, Elena Gubарь and others, much of my journey has been self-directed. I have explored various media and styles, experimenting with diverse materials and tools in the creation of my work. In addition to painting, I practice the art of felting with wool and silk. I create refined women’s accessories and garments.

semi-abstract ocean painting

“The Ocean’s Last Breath” mixed media, 48” x 24″”

Primarily I work in oil, using a palette knife. I’m drawn to the physicality of the knife. It allows me to build surface, carve into paint, and layer color with intention rather than hesitation. Texture becomes structure; color becomes architecture.

“Tenderness in the Last Breath” oil, 16” x 20”

Landscapes and floral motifs occupy a central place in my work, yet they are not passive subjects. I do not depict nature as a background; I present it as presence. New Mexico offers an inexhaustible source of inspiration. I am interested in decorative rhythm—repetition of line, balance of mass, harmony of color—yet beneath that harmony I seek tension.

“Breathing in Crimson” oil, 30” x 24”

In recent years, that tension has become more conscious. The beauty I depict is no longer separate from concern. Living in close relationship with the land has made it impossible to ignore its fragility. Overproduction, excessive consumption, and the quiet accumulation of waste have altered both urban and natural environments. Rather than turning away, I began integrating this awareness into my work. I do not abandon beauty; instead, I use it as a point of entry. The viewer is first drawn in by color, surface, and light—and only then begins to sense the underlying question.

“Golden Sunset”oil, 40” x 30”

Postmodernism, the second direction in which I work, allows me to speak in a contemporary visual language. I use imagery, symbols, and allegories borrowed from art history.

“Where Autumn Met Winter” oil, 36” x 48”

My goal is not to accuse, but to awaken. I believe that aesthetic experience can open a space where reflection becomes possible. If a painting can slow a person down long enough to notice a horizon, a flower, a field—then perhaps it can also invite them to consider what is at stake in preserving it. Each series I create is part of this ongoing dialogue, between land and light, beauty and responsibility, surface and depth.

“Fragile System” oil, 20″ x 16”

My background and knowledge in marketing, management, graphic design, digital media, and fashion allow me to integrate these disciplines into my artistic practice. My works have received awards and have been exhibited internationally and locally, gaining recognition among collectors and art enthusiasts.

Since 2021, I have been co-owner of Art Mozaik Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We support artists by providing space for expression, helping them grow professionally, expand their audience, and connect with collectors.
