I began my venture into the art world fifteen years ago after a brief illness. Looking to occupy my time, I began crafting shadowbox assemblage pieces and digital collages before committing myself to acrylic painting.

 

 

Every painting I create begins with an emotion, a memory, a question, or a moment that refuses to be forgotten. I strive to create images that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and discover their own meaning within my work.

 

 

I create art as a way of capturing the emotions, memories, and stories that connect us all. Every painting begins with a feeling, a thought, or a moment that inspires me to translate an invisible experience into something visual. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, I use color, texture, composition, and symbolism to create artwork that invites people to look deeper and discover their own personal connection to each piece.

 

 

My work explores the human experience through portraits, abstract narratives, and symbolic imagery. I am drawn to subjects that carry history, emotion, and meaning—from legendary musicians, literature and cultural icons to dreamlike scenes that explore love, loss, hope, spirituality, and transformation. Whether I am painting a musician lost in a performance, a solitary figure reflecting on life, or a surreal landscape filled with hidden messages, my goal is always to tell a story beyond the surface.

 

 

Music has always been a powerful influence in my creative process. The improvisation, emotion, and individuality found in all forms of music inspire the rhythm and movement within my paintings. I often approach the canvas like a musician approaches a composition, allowing intuition and emotion to guide each brushstroke. Every layer of paint becomes part of a visual melody.

 

 

I am also inspired by the contrast between reality and imagination. My work often combines figurative elements with abstract and cubist influences, breaking forms apart and rebuilding them through color and geometry. I believe distortion can sometimes reveal a deeper truth. By changing what we recognize, we are encouraged to see not only the subject, but also the emotion behind it.

 

 

As my art continues to evolve, I believe the future of my work lies in creating paintings that are timeless, meaningful, and emotionally powerful. I want my art to continue exploring the connection between people, memories, and the moments that shape our lives. My vision is to create works that do more than decorate a space—they should create conversation, inspire reflection, and leave a lasting impression.

 

 

I believe art has the ability to preserve feelings and stories long after a moment has passed. My hope is that each painting finds its own journey, connecting with people in different ways and allowing the story within the canvas to continue growing.

 

 

For me, painting is not simply about creating an image. It is about creating an experience—a bridge between my imagination and the viewer’s own memories, emotions, and dreams.
