“Alta Lakes Fantasy” oil, 11″ X 14″
I have always had a love for the old fashioned #2 pencil; as a kid this is the tool I started with. My Mom is also an artist and she observed my budding love for art and gave me my first set of graphite pencils. From age 6 to age 26, I primarily used graphite and colored pencil to express myself.

“Thunder Beast” oil, 22″ X 28″
When I turned 26 in 2015, I decided to take a painting class with renowned wildlife painter, Edward Aldrich. After this, I fell in love with painting using oils. For a long time, I was afraid of paint and afraid of color but that would soon change.

“Elysium” oil, 22″ X 28″
After some ups and downs on the artistic front I decided I wanted to learn more and sort of start fresh after the Covid era. I signed up with an online school called the Milan School of Art. It was a yearlong program that exposed me to a vast array of artistic mediums and techniques. I especially loved the use of acrylics as an underpainting and then finishing with oil. It creates some beautiful effects.

“Majestic Mountains” oil,12″ X 16″
I also learned to develop my artistic voice and how to create a cohesive portfolio. After this program, I not only felt armed with knowledge but my love for bright colors and expressive brushstrokes bloomed.

“By Moonlight” oil,16″ X 20″
Over the past year and a half, I have been creating my new portfolio with my new artistic voice. My goal currently and extending into the future is to give the world images that suggest a spiritual connection to animals and the landscape. I feel that some people have forgotten that deep moving spiritual connection.

“Aurora” oil, 30″ X 40″
With the use of bright colors, I invoke hints of the universe and a beauty that shines within. I hope to create pieces that draw the viewer in, pique their interest and make them consider their place in the natural world and beyond.

“Water Stop” oil, 12″ X 16″
Being an artist, I also love seeing my artwork go home with someone who loves and admires it.
