Growing up in Falun, a small town in Sweden a couple of hours north of Stockholm, I had easy access to the outdoors. I learned early on that I loved being out in nature.

As a child growing up, I used to hike, canoe, ski and camp on a regular basis. It always brought a special peace of mind being out in the wilderness.

Later, as an adult, I moved to Orlando, Florida. It was only natural to want to explore the outdoors in my new home. As my wife and I started to visit the many state and national parks in Florida and the rest of the United States, my desire to capture the beauty of these places grew. I bought my first “real” camera, a Canon 35 mm film SLR camera in 2003. From that point on, I was hooked.

However, it wasn’t until several years later, when I had mastered the technical side of photography, that I started to dedicate significant time to not only take pictures, but to create art.

That, as well as spending more time in the more remote areas of Florida’s interior and coastal areas, really unleashed my creative energy. As I explored and discovered the incredible beauty of natural Florida, I also began to look for ways to share it with others. This led to the opening of my online art store.

“But before all else a work of art is the creation of love. Love for the subject first and for the medium second. Love is the fundamental necessity underlying the need to create, underlying the emotion that gives it form, and from which grows the unfinished product that is presented to the world. Love is the general criterion by which the rare photograph is judged. It must contain it to be not less than the best of which the photographer is capable.”
