My fundamental artistic premise is that vibrant colors positively influence human emotions.

“Guardians” oil on canvas, 80” x 46”

Essentially, I’m a colorist. I create complex impressionistic compositions in order to occupy the observer’s eye long enough for the color to influence the psyche.

My objective is to convey a sense of joy and harmony, hopefully evoking a smile.

“Planting the Seeds of Dreams” oil on canvas, 24″ x 18″

My distinctive pointillistic style uses heavy application of oil paint and color stacked upon color. I create a dynamic visual that seems to come to life as it changes with the light in the room.

“A Message to the Moon” oil on canvas, 24” x 48”

I desire my art to be unconstrained. Therefore, my subjects vary and represent metaphors from my own life experiences. Western imagery derived from time spent in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Montana, and French landscapes from my years in Southern France as a wine maker as well as street scenes, oceanscapes and anything else I find beautiful are all fair game.

“Mistral” oil on canvas, 20” x 20”

I believe in putting all my energy into the creation of a work of art which is then reflected. All the while I endeavor to stay positive and enthusiastic as I work. I’ve created over 4,000 original oils on canvas. My work is found in prestigious collections around the world. I’ve created works promoting two Grammy Awards, the New York City Marathon and numerous other high-profile events.

“Lost in the Works” oil on canvas, 24” x 32”

I have been featured in the Booth Museum of American Art and am on permanent display at the new James Museum. Currently, most of my efforts are consumed with creating large, commissioned pieces. I enjoy bringing collectors into the creative process. For these pieces, I endeavor to create both a rare and historically significant work of art, as well as convey a statement pertinent to the investor.

“On the Way to Languedoc” oil on canvas, 24” x 24”

Influenced by Van Gogh, Seurat, Gauguin, Klimt, Degas and Monet, my work has a traditional foundation, yet is based on complex and innovative artistic theories. As an objective, I paint to evoke harmony, joy and make a statement conveying my appreciation of life itself. However, what my work is truly about is simply color.

“Radio City” oil on canvas, 24” x 48”

My passion for my art is only equaled by my passion for life. I live a Hemmingway-esque existence which includes political activism, fist fights in the jungle, swimming crocodile infested rivers to get a kiss, and the like.
