I can easily spend days and sometimes weeks working on a single image to get everything looking the way I want it to look.

I also enjoy creating abstract images with intentional camera movement, using a longer shutter speed and physically moving the camera during the exposure

My goal is to create painterly art pieces that are alive and have a life of their own.

The Art of RAR is a new art form in its infancy and many interesting works are waiting to be discovered and unveiled. Each piece of work is a painting but not painting, a photograph but not photography, an original but not original.

Living in NYC, one can experience an array of emotions and situations simply by observing and music only enhances those experiences.

Photographing the fourth dimension (time) allows me to transport the observer to a world between worlds.

When artists can balance the art with commerce and begin with nothing but talent, courage, drive and a dream – I study and learn from them.

Dotson’s artistic influences are wide-ranging, from the great masters of photography to sumi ink paintings from Asia.

My goal for VivaChas! is to spread my passion for these interests and the images associated with them around and record stuff that interests me – oh yeah, and to support some folks in need.

In an age where digital is the norm in the photography world, I like that I remain holding onto a piece of the past and am able to to put my spin on an old favorite.
